Guide: The Handy Interactive Sex Toy & VR Porn

Connecting your Handy to SLR is simple!
Handy Connectivity Update: 20 Feb, 2025
SLR now compatible with the Handy's latest firmware v4 (how to update). This means multiple improvements over the old API, plus more to come:
- Script loading times are gone
- Switching between manual mode & script is instant (previously required script re-upload)
- Changing playback speed is instant (previously required script re-upload)
Note: V4 is still in beta, so consider using V3 for now until we're certain it's stable.

Coming soon! Our devs are working on a dedicated AVP SLR app. Until then, you should get full functionality in the WebXR version of SLR via the Safari browser.

First-time user report:
We asked a first-time user to report back on how he found the setup process. Here is his feedback:
Handy with WebXR connectivity
Over Wifi
Firstly the user needs to set up a wi-fi connection to the users local network
- Via the handyverse app configure connection to the network
- Here is where you write down you device connection key as well
- New users might find all this setup annoying
- Non-technical users might get overwhelmed
- Once the setup is done it works like a charm
- Just start the video and select the script you want
- Works with PC ethernet and Handy Wi-fi connection
- Just needs to be connected to the same network
Notes:
- There is no stroke visualization on the desktop view for wifi connection (just the indicator that the handy is connected)
Conclusion:
- All in all the Handy setup and usage of it after a bit of a set up is really easy and seamless. There are minor some avenues to approve but the experience of it all was great.
- I loved the little visualization of the strokes on the bottom left of the video.
- Once it’s done and the connection key is entered, everything works seamlessly. You get a nice message and indicator that the handy is connected and ready for use.
- Enabling scripts while watching a video with scripts seamlessly connects to the handy and starts the stroker.
